Description
Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Marcel Servin 2020 is a high-quality wine from one of the best Premier Cru vineyards in the Chablis region of Burgundy, France. Marcel Servin is a respected estate in Chablis, known for producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the area, emphasizing the mineral-driven character of the wines while maintaining balance and elegance.
Region: Chablis, Burgundy, France
Vineyard: Vaillons is one of the most well-known 1er Cru vineyards in Chablis, located on the right bank of the Serein River. The soil in this area is rich in Kimmeridgian limestone, which imparts the hallmark minerality and freshness to the wine.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay, as required by the AOC rules for Chablis wines.
It is made using traditional techniques, with hand-harvested grapes to ensure quality. After the grapes are gently pressed, the wine ferments in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and fruit purity. The wine undergoes maturation on its lees (the dead yeast cells) for several months, which helps enhance the wine’s texture, adding subtle complexity and a touch of creaminess while retaining its crisp minerality.
