Description
Château Rouget Pomerol 2017 is a distinguished wine from the Pomerol appellation, one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious regions. Pomerol is known for producing some of the finest wines in the world, and Château Rouget is a respected estate that produces wines of both elegance and power. The 2017 vintage, while more recent, has already shown a great balance between structure, fruit, and the classic Pomerol earthy character.
Region: Pomerol, Bordeaux, France
Grape Varieties: The wine is predominantly made from Merlot, which is the primary grape of Pomerol. Merlot in Pomerol is known for its soft, rich texture and dark fruit flavors. A smaller percentage of Cabernet Franc is also included in the blend, contributing additional aromatic complexity and structure to the wine.
Crafted with great attention to detail. The grapes are hand-harvested to ensure only the highest quality fruit is selected. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a portion of new oak, which adds complexity, structure, and a subtle oak influence. The wine is aged for about 12-18 months, allowing the tannins to soften and the flavors to integrate beautifully.
